What does Vel Events actually sell?

We sell event production: planning, design, vendor management, technical direction, and show-calling. Packages on the Events page are starting retainers. Venue hire, catering, florals, and talent are quoted separately unless a proposal says otherwise.

Are the package prices final?

No. Listed prices are starting retainers exclusive of venue. Your statement of work will match guest count, city, technical plot, and dates. We do not run a self-checkout cart because every show has a different labour and equipment list.

How do I book?

Send an enquiry from the Contact page with your date, city, guest count, and the package you are considering. We confirm availability, then issue a retainer invoice. The date is held when the retainer is paid.

Question 4

Do you work outside Chennai?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We produce across India and take destination work when the recce and crew travel are in the budget. Travel, stay, and local vendor sourcing are itemised on destination proposals.

Question 5

Can you work with a venue we already booked?

Accepted Answer

Usually yes. We will recce the site, check power, load-in, and guest flow, then tell you if the room can support the brief. If it cannot, we will say so before you spend on décor.

Question 6

Do you only do weddings?

Accepted Answer

No. Weddings are a large part of the studio, alongside corporate summits, brand launches, private celebrations, and entertainment shows. The same production discipline applies to each.

Question 7

Who owns photos and films?

Accepted Answer

Photographers and videographers contracted for your event own their masters unless your contract assigns them. Recap films on Vel Events TV are published only with written approval. Private events can be excluded from the channel entirely.

What is your cancellation policy?

Retainer fees are non-refundable once a date is held, because crew and vendors are blocked. Closer to the event, cancellation or postponement follows the schedule in your statement of work. See Terms and conditions for the full rule set.

Question 9

Can we pay in stages?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Typical structure is retainer to hold the date, a production instalment after the technical plot is signed, and a final balance before load-in. Vendor pass-throughs may follow each vendor’s own schedule.

Question 10

Do you provide catering and décor in-house?

Accepted Answer

We design and direct. We work with a roster of caterers, florists, fabricators, and rental houses. You are not required to use our roster, but vendors we have not worked with need extra recce time.
